This year begins with our announcement of how the fair is evolving so we are pleased to announce our platform of Children's Content UNLIMITED. We now have six connected exhibition spaces specializing in content creation, licensing, illustration, digital publishing, education and audio visual themes. So that we are now UNLIMITED in providing an exciting and comprehensive platform where various sectors can explore new business opportunities together.
The forecast next week is for lots of warm, spring sunshine and so we look forward to welcoming with open arms and hearts for your best Bologna ever !

NEW FOR 2015
MEDIA ALL RIGHTS – a new cross media trading centre containing a unique and innovative marketplace aimed to open up new synergies and business opportunities for content creators, audio-visual producers and app developers.
ILLUSTRART & LICENSING - A new platform which fills the gap between illustrators and the licensing business, offering a proper marketplace to those artists willing to open up their creativity beyond the publishing world.
LICENSING & PUBLISHING MASTERCLASSES - Among the training meetings addressed to the new comers into the licensing business, a one-day programme will be providing publishers the basic tools to build a business in this field: The power of licensed publishing for children’s publishers. Licensing in and licensing out: case studies and success stories.l
NEW ENTRY LOUNGE: a special welcome for publishers new at the BCBF, invited by BolognaFiere to offer visitors new perspectives on the small big world of children’s publishing. Pay a visit and enjoy: Hall 25, Stand A/181
NEW ILLUSTRATORS ANNUAL: a brand new catalogue for the most traditional and innovative event of the Fair. Created as a result of a fruitful partnership between BolognaFiere and Corraini Edizioni, the Annual is now published in two different versions, English and Italian and will be distributed all over the world. This is the first step in a wider project of activities devoted to Illustrators which is being led by the BCBF and will be launched over the next few months.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND - CELEBRATING ALICE’S 150TH UNBIRTHDAY: The Bologna Children’s Book Fair will celebrate the anniversary of this masterpiece marking the beginning of books for young people and a story that has for over a century enthralled children and adults around the world.
BOOKS&SEEDS: The theme of EXPO Milan 2015 “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” is closely connected with BolognaFiere - An Official Partner of EXPO Milan 2015 for the creation of the Biodiversity Park - and has fostered the Books&Seeds project, the core event of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair this year.
BOLOGNARAGAZZI AWARD 50TH ANNIVERSARY: A gallery of prize-winning chapter and picture books over the last 50 years tells the story of an exciting adventure made of illustrations, stories and graphic experimentation, created for young readers by artists and publishers around the world.

BOLOGNA CITTA’ DEL LIBRO PER RAGAZZI: Just beside the trade-only fair, Bologna becomes the capital of cultural events for children and young adults. Exhibitions, workshops, meetings in public libraries and bookstores, film screenings, etc.
ASTRID LINDGREN MEMORIAL AWARD 2015 TO BE ANNOUNCED ON MARCH 31: Jury Chair Boel Westin will announce the 2015 laureate of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award on March 31 at 1 p.m. The announcement will be streamed by link to the Illustrators Café from the National Library of Sweden.
